What does the STL to FBX conversion preserve?

Materials, UV maps, vertex normals, and scene hierarchy are preserved wherever the FBX format supports them. STL is the exception — it is a geometry-only format by design and discards materials and UVs. GLB and GLTF preserve embedded textures inside the file; OBJ produces an accompanying MTL material descriptor; SKP groups components logically with materials applied; BLEND preserves the full Blender scene graph with modifiers.

How does converting STL to FBX work?
