About the OBJ converter
FurniMesh's OBJ converter runs in your browser for most formats, using a WebAssembly glTF/3D-mesh pipeline — the file stays in your tab. FBX, SKP and BLEND exports run on our conversion server. Materials, UV maps, and scene hierarchy are preserved wherever the target format supports them. There's no sign-up for in-browser formats (up to 20 conversions a day) and no watermark.
FurniMesh natively outputs four formats — GLB, OBJ, SKP (SketchUp 2017+), and BLEND (Blender 3.0+). Bridge conversion via this converter additionally produces FBX, STL, GLTF, 3DM (Rhino), PLY and OFF, and reads IFC, DAE, 3DS and 3MF files. Use the converter to bridge between supported formats — or skip the conversion step entirely if you don't have a source file yet (the FurniMesh library ships every model in all four native formats pre-rendered).
