How long does it take to convert my GLB to 3DM?

Most GLB to 3DM conversions complete in a few seconds for typical furniture-model files (a few MB to ~100 MB). For SKP and BLEND outputs the conversion runs server-side via the native Blender or SketchUp engine, with a hard 5-minute timeout per conversion; most server-side conversions finish in well under a minute.

What does the GLB to 3DM conversion preserve?

Materials, UV maps, vertex normals, and scene hierarchy are preserved wherever the 3DM format supports them. STL is the exception — it is a geometry-only format by design and discards materials and UVs. GLB and GLTF preserve embedded textures inside the file; OBJ produces an accompanying MTL material descriptor; SKP groups components logically with materials applied; BLEND preserves the full Blender scene graph with modifiers.

How does converting GLB to 3DM work?

In order to successfully convert a GLB formatted file to the 3DM format, our converter tools will perform several initial checks to ensure the file provided is indeed a GLB file.
