Convert your 3DM files to IFC format for free. No sign up or credit card required.
Quick answer: To convert 3DM to IFC, upload your 3DM file and download the IFC in seconds — free, in your browser, with no sign-up or watermark. Because IFC stores geometry, materials and textures but not animation, UV coordinates and vertex colors are dropped.
Convert 3DM files to IFC format quickly and securely in your browser. Or skip the conversion entirely — browse the free 3D furniture library.

Detailed information about the source and target file formats, including their capabilities and specifications.
3DM Format
3DM (Rhino 3D Model): A proprietary file format (.3dm) for Rhino software by Robert McNeel & Associates. It stores NURBS-based 3D models, ideal for precise design in architecture and engineering.
3DM Converter Capabilities
When converting 3D model or mesh files using our 3DM converter, we will attempt to convert color materials into a suitable format for use in the converted file.
IFC Format
IFC (Industry Foundation Classes): An open file format (.ifc) for Building Information Modeling (BIM), used in architecture and construction. It stores detailed building data, including geometry and properties, for interoperability.

About the 3DM to IFC converter
FurniMesh's 3DM to IFC converter runs entirely in your browser using a WebAssembly glTF/3D-mesh pipeline — your file never leaves your tab, and the conversion completes in seconds for typical furniture-model files. Materials, UV maps, and scene hierarchy are preserved wherever the IFC format supports them. There's no sign-up (up to 20 conversions a day) and no watermark; files up to 50 MB — practical limits depend on your browser's available memory.
FurniMesh natively outputs four formats — GLB, OBJ, SKP (SketchUp 2017+), and BLEND (Blender 3.0+). Bridge conversion via this converter additionally produces FBX, STL, GLTF, 3DM (Rhino), PLY and OFF, and reads IFC, DAE, 3DS and 3MF files. Use the converter to bridge between supported formats — or skip the conversion step entirely if you don't have a source file yet (the FurniMesh library ships every model in all four native formats pre-rendered).
